Review by hotel critic
Casa Frankie offers a unique experience in Sao Luis with its beautiful colonial architecture and relaxing outdoor pool. The ambiance is charming, and the common areas invite guests to unwind and socialize. While the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the shared bathrooms might not suit everyone's preferences. The well-equipped kitchen is a bonus, although it is also used by the staff and family.Frank, the owner, adds a personal touch to the stay, making guests feel welcomed and at ease. The lack of air conditioning might be a concern for some, but the pleasant breeze helps alleviate this issue. The location is convenient, allowing for easy exploration of Sao Luis on foot.In terms of value, Casa Frankie strikes a balance between affordability and luxury. The absence of certain amenities like a private bathroom may be a trade-off for the authentic experience and personalized service provided. For travelers seeking a cozy and culturally rich accommodation, Casa Frankie is a recommended choice.
